Our offer includes a double room plus a full day guided tour to the Antisana volcano glacier. (4754 m.s.n.m).
The tour begins at the Boutique Hotel Casona Durini at 6:30 am with a homemade breakfast that includes fresh seasonal fruits, coffee, tea or chocolate, bread, jam, butter, natural juice, eggs to taste, avocado, tomato with organ and olive oil, fine herb cheese, ham or bacon. We have vegetarian breakfasts and vegan breakfasts that include hummus, guacamole, corn, and other delicacies from Ecuador.
At 7:15 a.m. a vehicle will transfer us for an hour and a half to the Antisana ecological reserve to present the permits previously managed by our tour operator.
The trekking begins at 3,107 m.a.s.l. at 9:00 a.m
For approximately 4 hours, depending on the weather, it ascends to 4754 meters above sea level. An undemanding hike, does not entail any major difficulty, you cross the sandy area towards the Antisana volcano glacier, during the tour you will be able to see wildlife such as deer, endemic birds, condors, etc. The Antisana ecological reserve preserves 40% of the population of Condors in Ecuador, thanks to its monitoring and reproduction programs. During the recreation time at the Glacier, a Box Lunch consisting of fruit, a drink and a light accompaniment will be served.
The descent takes approximately 2 and a half hours to transport.
Within this program, the local community of the area has been included, who will provide a typical traditional food from the Ecuadorian Andes. This meal will be previously coordinated with the hotel in case there are special food requests. In this way, both local guides and the community are benefited by your presence.
In order to enter the Antisana Park it is necessary to have permits from the Ministry of the Environment of Ecuador, for this reason it is necessary to reserve this pack with at least 2 weeks of attendance.
