The Mindo parish is located 70 km from the city of Quito, northwest of the province of Pichincha, located in a large subtropical valley. It is placed 17 km. in a straight line from the Guagua Pichincha crater; and its access is possible through the Calacalí – La Independencia road. The parish is located in the area of influence of the Mindo – Nambillo Protected Forest. Geographically, the central point of Mindo is located at the following coordinates:

You can do bird watching, hiking through several waterfalls where you can cool off by taking a bath, there are several places where you can get up close with hummingbirds where you can feed them up close. There are other activities such as tubbing, renting quads, visits to the butterfly farm and houses where they carry out the process of making chocolate.
